This isn't cool.
Although the more I think about it, the more I'm unsure of what it translates to.

pretty sure it translates to 'condolences' in this context

I hope so but after that now-deleted kerfuffle I'm not sure.

ONE RECOMMEND = ONE PRAYER. IGNORE IF YOU LOVE SATAN.

Ahh, I see now. We're all going to Hell.

I'm with you man. I will never like a post that's about death. I comment about it and pay my respects. I know that people likes posts to say "I agree, I wanna pay my respects by saying that I liked what you wrote and feel the same way". But it's still just a like to me, it's like you say "I like that he/she's dead" deep into a little box in my head. In case of Jalopnik, it's a recommendation. So it's ok for me.

Same I've always felt weird about this. Although I do like the "tribute" posts on FB I see about stuff like this sometimes, if its something like "Breaking: News of Paul Walker's passing. RIP." I just can't. Doesn't feel right.

yeah, that is just recommended, as in good read. don't look too deep into this. we all lost someone from the community.

Jalopnik's "recommend" feature doesn't seem to be the same thing as a "like," thank goodness.
I'll star good content when I see it—and no, that doesn't mean I like the subject matter.
(I missed what this was screenshotted from, though. If it's a troll post, we ought to kick 18 people in the nads. Thx in adv. Speaking in general terms otherwise.)
